Hi.

Bali times

Bali times

Today we scootered out way to a few temples, and managed to scooter home without incident. Turning into a sea of motorbike traffic is something else... We pick a local who looks like they know what there doing, follow them and hold on. The system works though. Everyone is constantly beeping at each other, but only to let others know where they are, not out of anger. I have not witnessed a single act of road rage at this point. It would seem very un-Balinese to get angry.

It's also just really fucking satisfying to pick a spot on a map in a place you've never been, and find your way to it.

This nightmare creature was as big as my hand. Seemed to be minding his own business and not actively plotting our demise, which was nice of it...
