Minnesota
Times were had. Things were seen.
I'm very happy to have had the chance to see friends and family before taking off for SE Asia for a super extended period of time. There's always cool new breweries and restaurants to check out in a quickly growing city. It's always amazing to see all the changes since last being around. Unfortunately a lot of that seems to consist of shiny new "manufactured-cool" (bullshit) condos, but heck, still fun to see things evolve. Hopefully the places I actually enjoy visiting retain their non-yuppie patina, and gentrification doesn't come with as sharp of a bite as it has in Portland. $5 is the appropriate price for pint of beer Minneapolis, don't forget that.
Lot of cool architecture in NE Minneapolis. Fun signs, old warehouse buildings, brick streets and railroads. If I was to move back, this is where it would be.
Digging for gold at Indeed Brewery.
Erik and Jazmyne in a deep philosophical debate about proper dumpster placement.
Nice to look back at a blue sky full of striking cloud formations, and not a wildfire in sight.
Really digging the new "Cockpocalypse" sculpture in the re-done Walker Sculpture Garden. Powerful stuff.
Hella dope James Turrel installation. Check this shit out.
First came the Cockpocalypse, quickly followed by a giant pink ribbed dildo. Minnesota is kinky.
RIP.
