Hi.

Khao Soi from Laos. In contrast to the more well known Thai version of Khao Soi, this version does not use coconut milk, instead using a spicy soy paste (?) mixed with pork. It's earthy, spicy, and aromatic. I like both versions equally.

This picture is a little late to the blog, but better late than never.

Steamed Mekong River Fish with lime garlic and pepper. Very tasty. Works extremely well against vampires.

Squid on a stick. Very tasty actually. You point to which one you want, and some old grandmother looking lady throws it on the grill for you and serves it with a spicy tangy sauce. A bit unrefined, but incredibly fresh.

Unfortunately I did not save room for these bigass fish. I hear they are good though.

This is the official dish of coastal Cambodia, but don't quote me on that. It's crab fried with green peppercorn that is grown in the region. Very messy and equally delicious.

That orange thing is known locally as an "Adventure Hat."
